AMBER HESS, MA, D-SAACP (NOVA)
Director of TMS Services
Amber is an USAF active duty spouse and an involved parent of three teenagers. She has worked with the military community as a DoD employee in Family Services for several years. In 2014, Amber earned a Master’s in Counseling with a speicial emphasis in helping clients with PTSD and survivors of sexual assault.
Amber has served as a victim advocate for victims of crime, survivors of sexual assault, and been an advocate for children in the foster care system. She has been trained in different approaches such as, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Healing, Prepare and Enrich Marriage Facilitation and Assessment, True Colors, International Personality Assessment, and as a personal finance coach.
Throughout her life, Amber has served as a foster parent and mentored foster children through their adulthood. During this experience, she developed a passion to assist children, teens, and adults of all ages to understand and develop their strengths while pursuing a successful life.
She is excited to bring her experience to our TMS service line in hopes of providing comprehensive treatment with those suffering from various treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions.
