How Insurance Works for Mental Health

Most medical insurance includes coverage for mental health visits with a qualified mental health provider (a psychiatrist or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner). We will bill your insurance for all covered office visits. Co-pays and deductibles are the patient responsibility.

How Insurance Works for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

TMS is covered by most medical insurance carriers as long as the patient meets criteria. Co-pays and deductibles are the patient responsibility.

How Insurance Works for Ketamine Services

Ketamine services are private pay only and not covered by insurance. However, patients can use FSA or HSA money tax-free to pay for ketamine treatment.

BILLING & INSURANCE FAQS

What insurances cover TMS services?

Currently, Colorado Recovery Solutions is an in-network provider with TriCare, Medicare, Aetna, TriWest (VA), United/Optum, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna.

If we are out of network with your insurance, we can still submit a prior authorization on your behalf, if you meet treatment-resistant criteria for depression or OCD. If TMS is authorized by your insurance, we will negotiate a “single case agreement” with your insurance for you to be covered. You can call your insurance directly or we can help verify your benefits for TMS if you send a picture of the front and back of your insurance card to team@coresolutions.health. NOTE: Medicaid does not cover TMS.

What insurances cover ketamine infusion?

Government and commercial health insurances generally do not cover ketamine infusions. This service is currently private pay only. However, patients can use tax-free money set aside in FSA or HSA accounts to pay for ketamine therapy.

What insurances cover Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray?

Most insurances, including Medicare, cover Spravato for treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and TRD with acute suicidal ideations (ASI). You can call your insurance directly or we can help verify your benefits for Spravato if you send a picture of the front and back of your insurance card to team@coresolutions.health.

Do you accept insurance coverage for medication management?

Yes, we currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, Medicare, TriWest (VA), Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield (as well as private pay). If you do not have one of these insurances, a “superbill” (i.e. a final statement) will be provided for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement of some or all of your costs. CareCredit can also be used to pay for psychiatric medication management at Colorado Recovery Solutions.

How much does each service cost if I am private pay?

Private pay rates vary depending on the services provided. Adjustments may also be made depending on individual circumstances. Please call us at (719) 622-6522 for private pay rates and fees.
